Lego Indiana Jones

I LOVE video games and I love playing them with my kids or by myself. One cool game is the Lego Indiana Jones The Original Adventures. Man, that game is awesome!! I know it's an E-10 game and Joel is 7... but I know he likes Adventure games and this game is quite an adventurous one. Besides being an adventure game, it's quite humorous too. What's best is that it's also a two-player game so you can team up with somebody and go for an adventure. So, I got it for Joel and he's loving it and I know I'll be playing it too. It reminds me of the Tomb Raider games because it looks mysterious, you're trying to find things to go forward in the game, do puzzles, lots of creepy crawlers, and you jump once in a while when you are surprised by something. Even the background music is good and creepy. Loved it!!

Wellness and Changes

After Joel being sick on Tuesday with vomiting, he finally returned to school yesterday [Thursday]. I was so relieved to see Joel becoming his normal self on Wednesday and his appetite returning. I don't know what made him sick but it looked like it was only a stomach bug. Glad it wasn't anything more serious like Rotavirus.

So, Joel started the 2nd Grade this year. On Friday the 22nd, the school posted the class schedules for this year. My husband and I were wondering why Joel was in a 1st & 2nd Grade classroom instead of an only 2nd Grade class. Didn't really had the chance to talk to Joel's teachers until yesterday. I got a call from the Principal and she told me Joel was going to be changing teachers and classrooms to an all 2nd Grade class only. Then later that day, Joel's current teacher calls me to let me know about the change. I was happy!! I then asked her about why they put 1st and 2nd Grade class in a same classroom... she told me it was because of the changes in the last minute about kids that are registered then moved away at the last minute so they have to rearrange the classes and the students again. Finally, there was a teacher available to take these 2nd Graders (yaay!). So starting on Tuesday, the Principal is going to take these 2nd Graders to a little tour to their new classroom and to meet their new teacher. This year, Joel's going to have only one teacher. Hope all works out well and she's a good teacher.

Labor Day is this Monday!! Many people see Labor Day as the end of Summer... but Summer is not officially over until September 21st. The first day of Fall is September 22nd. In a way, I am happy Summer is coming to an end because I don't like hot days... I just can't stand having temperatures over 95° in the Summer time. Still, cool weather for us doesn't come until the end of November [if we are lucky] or December. Warm days are still September, October, and sometimes November. I just can't wait for some cool weather and some rainy days too.

School starts soon

Joel gets back to school this Monday... the 25th. He only has today and tomorrow to relax and play. All this week we made him go to bed at 8 o'clock so that he starts getting used to the schedule again. Hopefully, on Monday I won't get up late. I'll be putting the alarm clock on just to be on the safe side and get up early before the boys do.

The school just posted the class lists yesterday after 4 pm. My dear husband went to check them out yesterday evening and told me Joel is in Room 2. Which confuse me because I remember the school said rooms 1 through 4 are used for the 1st Graders only. So I have to check that myself today. DH didn't told me who's Joel's teacher is and if Johnny (our little trouble maker of a next door neighbor) is going to be in Joel's class again (hoping he is NOT!!).

Well, Joel is not THAT excited about returning to school but I am. I'll be getting some relaxing time and alone time with Seth and that's a good thing because I can work better with Seth on his speech, ABC's, and writing. Seth needs to improve his speech before attending Preschool which is in January 5, 2009.

Hoping for a good school year for all of us!!

A powerful blender

So yesterday, my dear husband was watching The History Channel 'Modern Marbles' and he calls me just before the show it's at the end. I was amazed to see this powerful blender called The Blendtec Total Blender. Man, that is a powerful blender that we would like to have. I think for a $400 blender that blends awesome, it's worth the money. I sure want it!!!
